Justin Power

Principal


Justin Power has practiced in state and federal courts in Illinois since 1985.  He represents individuals, corporations and condominium associations in personal injury, construction defect and commercial matters.

Mr. Power’s areas of practice include premises liability, product liability, transportation loss, breach of contract and defamation.  He has experience in handling all aspects of litigation including jury trials; administrative hearings; arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He has numerous jury verdicts in state and federal court.  He has also handled prosecution and defense of appeals in Illinois appellate courts.

Mr. Power is licensed to practice in Illinois, and is a member of the trial bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Nick Papastratakos

 Mr. Papastratakos has experience litigating insurance coverage matters, class action litigation, False Claims Act, employment and other complex litigation.

Many of the insurance coverage and class action cases that Mr. Papastratakos worked on were cases that made law on significant property insurance issues that arose after Hurricane Katrina and Superstorm Sandy, and on important casualty insurance issues such as the validity and application of various insurance policy exclusions and other provisions. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Papastratakos has provided established Fortune 500 companies and start-up companies with legal counseling and advice on compliance issues, and business process and procedure issues.

Mr. Papastratakos has provided responses to governmental agency investigations and inquiries, and he has worked collaboratively with governmental agencies in the drafting of laws, regulations, and processes.
